Gold collector coin issued by the National Bank of Poland to commemorate the 90th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland after 123 years of partitions.
The reverse of the coin depicts the commander Józef Piłsudski on horseback, with a background of Polish infantry soldiers. The obverse bears the image of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the square of Marshal Józef Piłsudski in Warsaw.
The regaining of independence by Poland in 1918 is a sequence of events resulting in the final regaining of sovereignty by Poland after 123 years of partitions. The date of the holiday is conventionally assumed to be November 11.
