On September 26, 2023, the National Bank of Poland is launching a 10 zloty silver coin, "March of Independence."
The history of this cyclical event dates back to 2010, a unique time when Poles tried to unite, at least for a while, around the Smolensk tragedy and its victims.The idea of organizing a nationwide patriotic ceremony honoring the people and events that led to the rebirth of Poland in 1918 arose in national circles.
The obverse features the image of the eagle established for the emblem of the Republic of Poland, with a symbolic representation of Polish flags in the background.
On the reverse - as the main motif - there are white and red flags and a white and red ribbon, made using UV printing technique, at the top there is a semicircular inscription: MARCH OF INDEPENDENCE.
