Tadeusz Brzeski was a Polish economist, professor and rector of the University of Warsaw. 

In 1928, he became an active member, and a year later an ordinary member of the Warsaw Scientific Society; he was its vice-president in the years 1931-1937. In 1932, he also became a corresponding member of the PAU, and belonged to the Poznań Society of the Friends of Learning (from 1920); in exile in London, he was the first president of the Polish Scientific Society Abroad in the years 1950-1958.

After the outbreak of World War II, he went to Lwów, and then was deported to Kazakhstan. From there he went with the Anders Army to London, where he stayed until the end of his life. He worked at the Department of Economics at Oxford University and was Dean of the Polish Law Faculty (1944-1947). He headed the Department of Economics and was Rector of the Polish University Abroad (from 1951). He was also Chairman of the National Treasury Audit Committee. On 21st December 1953, he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland in Exile to the Main Arbitration Commission.
