Fabergé Eggs are known as priceless treasures that were created especially for the Russian royal family.

This time the coin is dedicated to the famous Trellis Rose Egg, which was created in St Petersburg under the supervision of Peter Carl Fabergé. Much of the work was done by his master Henrik Wigström in 1907. The egg was a gift from Tsar Nicholas II to his wife, Alexandra Fedorovna. In this way, the Tsar commemorated the birth of their son. Each of Fabergé's imperial eggs contained a surprise. Hidden in this particular egg was a diamond necklace and a miniature portrait of Alexandra Fedorovna, made of ivory and set with diamonds.

The egg itself was made of gold, enamel in various shades, diamonds, emeralds. It has been in the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore since 1952.

This coin was minted from two ounces of pure silver. The egg stands out from the background thanks to its high relief. It has also been gilded and stained to replicate the original design.
