The NBP issues another coin in the series 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence by Poland.
The hero of the issue is Ignacy Daszyński (1866-1936) - a Polish socialist politician, co-founder and leader of the Polish Socialist-Democratic Party (1890-1919), deputy to the Chamber of Deputies of the Council of State before Lithuania (1897-1918), independence activist, prime minister of the Lublin government (1918), Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of National Defence (1920-1921), in the Second Republic of Poland a long-standing member and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Polish Socialist Party, initiator and Chairman of the Board of the Workers' University Society (1923-1936), Speaker of the Sejm (1928-1930), one of the founders of Centrolew (1929). Honorary Chairman of the Polish Socialist Party (PPS) (1934), publicist, political writer. Posthumously awarded the Order of the White Eagle.
