The seventh coin in the prestigious one-kilogram The Witcher series is dedicated to The Lady of the Lake, the novel by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Crafted from the highest purity silver (Ag 999) and weighing a full kilogram, this coin is a true masterpiece of numismatic art—where exceptional craftsmanship meets the literary legacy of one of Poland’s most celebrated fantasy authors.
Issued in a strictly limited mintage of just 100 pieces worldwide, this impressive coin is not merely a collectible—it is a scene frozen in metal, a vivid artistic depiction of key events from the final volume of The Witcher saga. It features ultra high relief, an individually numbered edge, and natural opals embedded on both sides, all contributing to an extraordinary tribute to the saga’s dramatic climax.
The obverse presents a dynamic battle scene at the siege of Stygga Castle, where Geralt of Rivia and his companions make a desperate attempt to rescue Yennefer and Ciri from the dark sorcerer Vilgefortz. At the center stands Geralt himself—sword in hand, ready for combat. Beside him are his loyal allies: Yennefer, Milva, Regis, Cahir, and Angoulême.
Their tense expressions and poised stances capture the life-or-death intensity of the moment. The backdrop features the castle’s monumental architecture—walls, columns, and ornate rosettes.
Above the battlefield, Vilgefortz appears on a balcony, overseeing the chaos. Next to him, in the heart of the coin, is a natural opal, symbolizing a magical power orb.
To the right of the inscription “THE LADY OF THE LAKE”, a realistically rendered bat looms over the central scene. Its wings are spread wide across the upper section of the coin, meticulously sculpted to show fine anatomical details—veins, natural folds, and a skin-like texture speckled with droplet-like elements.
The reverse depicts Stygga Castle from an external perspective, showcasing its imposing gate flanked by towers and high walls.
A natural opal is embedded above the gate, mirroring the one on the obverse. In the foreground, a lone rider on horseback approaches the entrance. On either side, carved prows of ships and fragments of wreckage suggest past battles. The ground is littered with skeletons, bones, helmets, and weapons—grim remnants of previous confrontations.
To the left side of the reverse is the official coat of arms of Niue – the Public Seal of Niue, inscribed with “ATUA – NIUE TUKULAGI.”
