Coin minted in pure gold. It was the first bullion coin to be issued in Euro currency. It is one of the most desirable metals for investors from all over the world. It is an excellent investment of capital due to its liquidity, both when selling and buying. The Vienna Philharmonic has been produced by the Austrian Mint since 1989. The design of the coin was created by means of computer graphics and then transferred to gold. According to the World Gold Council, in 1992, 1995 and 1996 the Philharmonic was the best-selling bouillon coin in the world.

The history of the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich) dates back to the 12th century, when the Austrian prince Leopold VI demanded 15 tons of silver in exchange for the release of the British king Richard the Lionheart. The process of melting the ransom and minting of coins began a long tradition of the Vienna Mint, which became the State Mint in the period of the newly created Republic of Austria, just after the First World War.

The owner of the company producing 450 million coins annually is the Central Bank of Austria, so the products of the Mint of Austria have government guarantees of purity of gold.

The obverse is decorated with legendary organs of the Vienna Philharmonic. We can also read from it the value, weight, trial and year of mintage.

The reverse presents a number of symphonic instruments, such as double bass, cello, violin, bassoon, harp and Viennese horn, in an aesthetic arrangement, with an interesting typography of the Wiener Philharmoniker.
