     Another year ahead of us is the year full of beautiful coins produced by Perth Mint for investment purposes. On the obverse of Kangaroo, Koala and Kookaburra, we will admire the new, modern portrait of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The image of the queen on the last coin from the Lunar series will remain the same to maintain a uniform appearance of the whole series.

 

Year of the Pig, Lunar II - issue on September 10

It will be the 12th coin and it closes the Lunar II series. A pig with four piglets will appear on the reverse of the silver coins. The following versions will be available: 10 kg, 1 kg, 10 oz, 5 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz. Coins of weight 10 kg will be available only 100 pieces, 1 oz - 300 thousand, while the others will be released in unlimited circulation.

 

 

The reverse of the gold coins is different from the silver ones and depicts one swine with a snout. The following weights will be available for sale: 1 kg, 10 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz (limit 30 thousand pcs), 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/20 oz.

 

 

 

Kookaburra - issue on October 1

As every year, the image of this beautiful bird changes. On the reverse, we see a beautiful Kookaburra sitting at sunset on a branch growing out of the water. Three versions of the coin will be available: 1 kg, 10 oz and 1 oz (500.000 pieces).

 

 

 

Kangaroo - issue on November 5

Perth Mint will sell a silver Kangaroo 1 oz in an unlimited circulation, platinum 1oz also without any limitation in quantity and gold coins 1 kg, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, (100,000 pcs), 1/4 oz (150.000 items) and 1/10 oz (200.000 items).

 

 

 

Koala - issue on January 7

One of the symbols of Australia will appear on coins of 1 kg and 31.1 grams, or 1 ounce. The mintage of a smaller coin is limited to 300.000 pieces, and the larger unlimited.
