Is it worth investing in Polish collector banknotes?
Banknote for the 100th anniversary of Poland Independence Regaining will be released on August 31st. It will be the tenth collector's banknote issued by the National Bank of Poland to commemorate important events in the history of Poland and eminent Poles who have had a significant impact on the fate of the country.
We checked what are the current prices of previous banknotes and we noticed that those whose subject fluctuated around Independence significantly increased their price. Those collectors who bought a banknote commemorating the 90th anniversary of Poland's independence in 2008 in the primary price of PLN 15.00, today gained already PLN 80.00 per one. The banknote dedicated to the anniversary of the creation of the Polish Legions is also worth much more. On the day of issue, it costed PLN 60.00, current price is PLN 190.00. It is worth noticing that on both banknotes there was an image of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, who will also appear on the new issue on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. Perhaps it is his character that guarantees the value of the banknote :)
The most spectacular price increase was observed with the banknote issued in 2016 on the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland. Collectors showed great interest in a beautiful project and extremally important subject, which meant that the banknote quickly disappeared from numismatic stores, and now its price reaches even PLN 280.00 (the issue price is PLN 75.00).
With a double increase in price, we also deal with a bank note with the image of Juliusz Słowacki. The issue price which amounted to PLN 29.00, increased to approximately to PLN 60.

As you can see, no one who has invested in any banknote has lost on this investment.
