New series

The offer of our mint has been enriched with a new series of coins. These are "Roman Gods". As the name suggests, the series will be devoted to the gods of Roman mythology.

Specification

The series' issuer is Niue Island, the face value of a single piece is $2. Each coin is oxidized, two-ounce, and its diameter is 50 mm. The mintage of each coin is only 500 pieces worldwide. The coins are distinguished by a high relief which perfectly conveys all the details of the reverse and the obverse.

Jupiter

The coin opening the series was Jupiter issued in 2016. Its mintage sold out completely.

Jupiter is the god of light and heaven, the equivalent of the Greek Zeus. He was the most powerful god in the pantheon. The son of Saturn and Opsa, Juno's husband. Together with her and Minerva, they formed the triad of state deities, the so-called Capitoline Trinity, to which the temple on the Capitoline Hill was consecrated. The attributes of Jupiter were lightning and eagle.

Initially, Jupiter was a god of atmospheric phenomena, thunderstorms, thunder and lightning, but later became the guardian of the Roman people and his powerful ally in wars. Jupiter was dedicated to the competitions held in the Roman circus.

Bellona

In 2019, the second coin in the series appeared - Bellona. It was sent for dispatch in July, and it was almost sold out. If anyone wants to buy it, they have to hurry!

Bellona was the goddess of war, wife (or sister) of Mars.  In her temple in the Field of Mars, the messages of the countries unfriendly to Rome and the chiefs seeking triumph were received. In front of the temple, next to the column called "war", the war was declared to the countries that did not border Rome. It was also there that the Senate received commanders returning from war expeditions.

Bellona's priests were characterized by dark clothes and black runes on their heads. Initially they wounded themselves in honor of their goddess. In later years, this behavior became symbolic and established 24 March as the "day of blood" for cultivating Bellona.

The goddess was depicted in armour, as well as in a helmet with a plume, armed with a spear or sword. She was driving in the chariot of Mars. She was depicted as a figure with disgusting features, similar to the traditional image of fury.
