We are at the St. Dominic's Fair!

St. Dominic's Fair has been taking place in Gdańsk for 759 years!

The first fair took place in 1260, when Pope Alexander IV allowed the Dominicans of Gdansk to grant 100-day indulgences on the day of their founder's feast. The fair became more and more popular every year. In the 15th century, during the fair, more than 400 ships with products from all over the world called at the port of Gdansk. In the same century, for the first time in Gdansk appeared pipes - people who, playing trumpets, announced important events for the city, such as the opening of the Dominican Fair. This tradition has lasted until today. The whole event lasts 23 summer days.

What do we offer?

This year our Mint also has its stand at the Fair! You can talk with us, buy coins, catalogues, etc., as well as mint your commemorative Gdansk thaler.

Where and when can you visit us?

Our stand is located on Straganiarska Street, next to the Actor's House. We are on site every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the Fair (from 27 July to 18 August), from 10 am to 8 pm. We invite you!
