National Memorial Day of the Enduring Soldiers

 

 

National Memorial Day of the "Enduring Soldiers" is to commemorate soldiers of anti-communist and independent underground. The heroes resisted Sovietisation and submitting to USSR. The participants of anti-communist guerrilla move are also called "the soldiers of 2nd conspiracy" or "abiding soldiers".

There was a propaganda machine created against Polish soldiers who decided to continue armed fighting after II World War. People’s Poland gonverment called them "enemies of people". During the fights, about 9 000 endured died and other few thousand were murdered basing on communists' courts sentences or died in prison.

The amount of members of all the organisations and conpiracy groups is told to be 120-180 thousand. It was the greatest fighting conspiracy in Europe.
