This coin was struck from 2 ounces of pure silver. It is decorated in very high relief, thanks to which every detail of the coin is perfectly visible. The reverse shows all the necessary elements of the myth of Sisyphus. The gilding surrounding the coin further emphasises its shape. The shade of gold is illustrative - it may vary on the finished coin. The irregular shape of the coin makes the boulder appear extremely heavy.
The obverse of the coin features an image of Queen Elizabeth II and the coin's specifications. The coin is delivered in an elegant wooden box together with a certificate of authenticity.

In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was the founder and king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). Hades punished him for cheating death twice by forcing him to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down every time it neared the top, repeating this action for eternity. Through the classical influence on modern culture, tasks that are both laborious and futile are therefore described as Sisyphean.
