2000 Francs Licho - Slavic Bestiary

"Licho" coin is the fifth release in the Slavic Bestiary collection, dedicated to the mythical creatures of ancient Slavic folklore.

Struck from 3 oz of pure silver (Ag 999) and issued in a strictly limited mintage of only 400 pieces worldwide, it captivates with its intricate details and the use of advanced minting techniques, including Ultra

High Relief, UV printing, selective gilding, and colored resin, all of which create remarkable depth and a striking three-dimensional appearance.

The reverse depicts Licho as a gaunt, one-eyed crone – one of the most sinister figures in Slavic demonology. Her piercing eye, crafted from vivid red resin, immediately

draws attention and emphasizes the malevolent nature of this legendary being. Perched on her shoulder is a raven, long regarded as a symbol of ill omen, while in her

hand she holds a rotting apple, representing inevitable misfortune. The background features an abandoned wooden cottage, withered trees, and an emaciated goat,

creating an atmosphere of poverty and despair traditionally associated with Licho's presence in Slavic folklore. The design is completed by the selectively gilded

inscription "LICHO SLAVIC BESTIARY", perfectly complementing the coin's dark and mysterious theme.

The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Cameroon along with the 2000 FRANCS CFA denomination. Surrounding the central design are finely sculpted

motifs inspired by the world of Slavic legends, including a winding snake, a bat, spider webs, and dense forest vegetation, all combining to create a mysterious and

harmonious composition. Every detail has been crafted with exceptional precision, showcasing outstanding minting artistry and the unique character of this remarkable

issue.
