The Germania Beasts Silver Medal – Sleipnir 1 oz Silver 2026 is another release in the acclaimed Germania Beasts series, produced by Germania Mint. Following earlier legendary beasts, it is now time for one of the most extraordinary figures of Norse mythology – Sleipnir, Odin’s eight-legged steed, symbolizing divine power, limitless speed, and the ability to travel across the nine worlds.

According to Norse beliefs, Sleipnir was born from the extraordinary union of Loki and the mighty stallion Svaðilfari. As Odin’s loyal mount, he was able to journey between the world of the gods, the world of humans, and the realm of the dead, crossing the boundaries of reality with remarkable ease. His eight legs symbolize perfection of movement, speed, and supernatural origin, making him one of the most recognizable creatures in Germanic mythology.

The medal was struck from 1 troy ounce of pure Ag 9999 silver in Brilliant Uncirculated quality. It has a diameter of 38.61 mm and a fictional denomination of 5 marks, characteristic of Germania Mint issues. The mintage is limited to 25,000 pieces. Each piece is housed in a dedicated capsule with a lens, which effectively highlights the relief and protects the medal from damage. The set also includes a certificate of authenticity.

Obverse, designed by Natalia Danysz, depicts the majestic head of Sleipnir and the front part of his powerful body. The visible four legs emphasize the dynamism of movement, strength, and stability of the mythical steed, while the rich ornamentation gives the composition a mystical and regal character.

Reverse shows the rear part of Sleipnir’s figure in full gallop, where the other four legs complete the image of the legendary eight-legged mount.
