Roman Gods - is this series worthwhile? Mars on a coin

Mythological subjects are highly valued in the numismatic world. This is evidenced by the fact that these coins have increased in value over the years.

Popular theme coins

Mythological themes fascinate many of us. We love watching films devoted to Roman, Greek or Nordic gods. Even though thousands of years have passed, mythologies still stimulate our imagination. That is why mythological themes are willingly acquired in a narrow, but nevertheless increasingly popular branch of investment - collector coins. In times when the power of money is weakening, it is worth taking a closer look at alternative forms of investment.

The increase in value is recorded by most coins with mythological themes. For example, the coins of the "Gods of Olympus" series issued in 2014 at an issue price of 600 zlotys are now being snapped up on the secondary market at 1300 zlotys. An even better situation was encountered with the coin "Ares" from 2017. Its issue price was PLN 1000, and now its value is estimated at about PLN 8000!

Roman Gods series

Another successful series when it comes to mythological themes is the "Roman Gods" series. The first coin, Jupiter, was released in 2016 at an issue price of 750 PLN. It has now risen to 2500 PLN and continues to climb. The second coin, Bellona, released in 2019 at an issue price of 950 PLN is currently selling on the secondary market at 1,700 PLN. Every coin in this series has seen an increase in value. This prediction is also directed towards the third coin in the series, Mars. Especially that the third coin has been received even more positively by numismatists than the previous ones. As Mik Woodgate of AgAuNews.com says "That was back in 2016, and there was a sequel release in 2018 which featured the Goddess of War, Bellona. Both were okay designs, but not really stand-outs at the time, but after a hiatus of three years, the series is back with what looks to be a significant upgrade in style and quality.

Mars Roman god of rage, passion, destruction and war. As a fundamental deity, Mars had a mythology closely related to the Roman city-state. Mars ruled early Rome as part of the Archaic Triad, the male ruling triumvirate that also included Jupiter and Quirin (the deified Romulus). The early Romans worshiped Mars as a great raging god whose fury inspired the savagery of war and brought about the stunning achievements of Roman weapons. As Rome moved from city-states to
