From project to coin - The Imperial Art series

The Imperial Art series is a unique numismatic project dedicated to the largest empire from which our civilization originates. The project was created a few years ago on paper, with time, took on shapes, evolved and - which we are extremely pleased - went to issue.

The original and previously unmentioned subject was created under the supervision of art historians. The designs delight with detail and precise finish with the addition of precious minerals. Each of the coins in this series is emitted from the highest quality oxidized silver with a weight of 2 ounces thanks to the cooperation of the Mint of Poland, which is responsible for the production of these popular and desirable coins.

The first part of the Imperial Art series presents the art and architecture of ancient Mesopotamia, the oldest civilization in the history of mankind, in which the first state institutions, schools and legal codes were created. We owe its inhabitants to solar calendars, irrigation canals, surgical procedures, organized trade, musical culture and even vehicle wheels. The list of their achievements seems to be endless. To this day, we are delighted with beautiful buildings such as the gate of the goddess Ishtar, the palace of Sargon II in Khorsabad and the gardens of Semiramis.

The second coin from the Imperial Art series presents the art and architecture of ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt was one of the first, longest and most powerful civilizations in the history of the world. It is famous for its amazing achievements in many areas, including engineering, medicine, the art of ruling the state and monumental architecture.

After Mesopotamia and Egypt, it is time for China. The origins of this Asian civilization date back to the 5th century BC. Its dynamic development has contributed to the creation of many scientific and technical inventions, which reached Europe only after several centuries. It is worth mentioning, for example, silk, ceramics, bricks or agricultural tools. However, this is only a substitute for China's enormous contribution to improving the quality of human life.

The cradle of philosophical thought, as well as theater and literature was Greece, which is the theme of the fourth coin from the Imperial Art series. The legacy of Greek culture is still the subject of research and reflection, such as works by Aristotle, Socrates or Plato, whose image is decorated with a blackened coin. The whole is complemented by a detailed representation of architecture characteristic of ancient Greece.

Although the issue of Imperial Art coins is planned once a year, we are already waiting for more projects, as well as the coin itself, another extraordinary story that had an impact on the history of mankind. Looking at the whole Imperial Art project, we are also not surprised by the fact that coins issued in a low circulation of only 500 pieces are so popular that they are sold out quickly. We are the exclusive global distributor of this series and we are pleased to be able to co-create this very interesting collection together with you!
