Introducing another coin from the Prehistoric Life series. Liopleurodon is a carnivorous marine reptile that belongs to the pliosaurs, These animals lived at the turn of the Middle and Late Jurassic. The reptile's body length was up to 12 meters.

The obverse of the gold coin depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Congo, as well as information about the face value, weight and sample of the bullion used.

The reverse shows an image of Liopleurodon hunting for prey. The reverse also features information about the year the coin was minted.
