Another coin from the "Pride of Polish Painting" series, which depicts the most important works of Polish painters. Each coin presents a different image of the Polish art heritage, faithfully rendered on a silver coin, thanks to the use of modern printing techniques. The coins have a limited mintage - only 500 pieces. This is an excellent item in the collection of any lover of Polish art.
Teodor Axentowicz - Polish painter, draughtsman and graphic artist of Armenian origin, professor and rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Axentowicz's oeuvre developed in two ways: the artist gained recognition as a portraitist and as an author of genre scenes. During his studies, the artist painted episodes from village life in a realistic convention. This is how he created the painting "Italian Florist", painted in 1882.
