The first coin from the "Royal Delft" series, which is characterized by coins minted for 50 g of fine silver. The addition of coins are inserts made of Royal Delft porcelain, the most famous Dutch porcelain. Each insert is hand-made and painted. The mintage of each coin is 999 pieces and its themes are themes related to the history and art of the Netherlands.

The first coin is dedicated to the Dutch East India Company, created in 1602. It had a monopoly on colonial activity in Asia. It was the first international concern in the world and the first company in the world to release shares, securities, to finance its activities. The reverse of the coin depicts the Company's fleet, and the porcelain insert shows its symbol.
