INSURED SHIPMENT / OWN COLLECTION

The fourth coin in the series shows a bust of Wladyslaw Lokietek's son, Casimir, who earned the nickname Great because of his immense contributions to the restoration of the Piast monarchy - although he became the last ruler of that first Polish dynasty.

The medallic image of the king is a free reference to the portrait by Marcello Bacciarelli

(different crown and attire, exposed shield with crowned lion, showing - in mirror reflection - the coat of arms of the annexed Red Ruthenia).

On the reverse of the medal (on the coin in a slightly abbreviated text) we read in translation: The son of Łokietek, the first to collect the laws of the fatherland and arranged in Wiślica proclaimed, fortified many towns, annexed Red Ruthenia to the Crown, wished to make and made happy citizens and farmers; the last of the Piast house king. He died the year 1370, aged 60,having reigned 33 years on November 5.
