Star Wars - coins dedicated to the "Star Wars" series of films based on the trilogy of films created by George Lucas.

The series began in 1977 with the premiere of Star Wars (later subtitled Part IV - New Hope). It became a global pop culture phenomenon. In the following years, LucasFilm produced two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and The Return of the Jedi (1983). All three films are an original Star Wars trilogy.
In the following years, the series was followed by sequels and spin-offs.
